Richard Noel Marx (né le 16 septembre 1963 à Chicago, Illinois) est un auteur-compositeur-interprète et un producteur de musique américain. Pendant les années 1980 et 1990, Marx a sorti plusieurs tubes, y compris Right here waiting, Hazard, et Hold on to the nights. Bien qu'il ait rencontré le succès principalement avec des ballades comme celles-ci, beaucoup de ses chansons ont un son rock, comme Don't mean nothing, Should've known better, Satisfied, et Too late to say goodbye.
